* For Toddler and Level I children, there is a grace period through September in regards to fees.  If the Catechist and parent determine that the child is not ready to attend the program, or it's not working out for whatever reason, the class fee will be refunded.  There is an orientation day for new Toddler and Level I students before class begins. The child has the opportunity to be in the environment and do some work, and the Catechist has a chance to see the child in action to make sure he/she is ready to be in the Atrium program.

Am I ready for Atrium?
Guidelines for readiness for Toddler Atrium:
  • Willingness to leave the parent (crying for a few minutes is fine, but the hope is that within a few weeks, this will subside)
  • Able to walk and carry an object
  • Able to take direction from the Catechist, meaning that the child is able to respond (either in words or actions) appropriately when asked to do or to not do something
Guidelines for readiness for Level I Atrium:
  • Toilet trained (a pull-up is okay for a child who is in training and may have an accident)
  • Able to take direction from the Catechist, meaning that the child is able to respond (either in words or actions) appropriately when asked to do or to not do something
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work without disrupting others
  • Able to leave parent with minimal crying
  • Able to be trusted to handle materials and the other children with care
