A Catechist Retreat/Workshop with Ann Garrido
Come join us for afternoon of lecture, prayer, reflection, and discussion with Ann Garrido, a dynamic speaker and lover of all things CGS. The focus of the day is the Our Father as it is presented in all three levels of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. This workshop/Retreat is open to all Catechists and Assistants of CGS, parish Catechists who would like to take a look at the CGS approach, and anyone else who might like to take a deep dive into the Our Father prayer.
Date: Sunday, April 6
Time: 1:30 to 5:00 pm
Location: Good Shepherd School Atrium at Norbo Dental: 441 E Main St. Purcellville, VA. Please park in the back, as you will go in the glass door at the back of the building.
Ann Garrido has served as a CGS catechist with children ages 3-12 since 1996, and has been a formation leader with the U.S. National Association of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd since 1999. She has been a member of the association’s formation committee since 2004. She is the author of A Year with Sofia Cavalletti (LTP, 2017) and Preaching with Children (LTP, 2022) and is the founding director of the MAPS-CGS program at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis, MO.

Materials Needed: These books are available on the www.cgsusa.org website. We also have copies of them in the Atrium that are available to check out.

We encourage you to start your day at Mass at St. Francis at 8:30. At the Atrium, snacks, coffee, and tea will be provided, but please bring a lunch for yourself.
